The Americares Preparedness Team is offering a free, 2-day Health Center Resiliency Bootcamps. The workshop is designed for FQHCs and other outpatient clinics with similar disaster preparedness requirements under CMS. It is best if 2-3 staff members attend from each clinic to provide insight as the participants complete planning documents specific to their clinic. Participants could include the Nursing Director, Quality Improvement Director, Safety or Emergency Preparedness Director, Chief of Operations or other staff members who would play a role in the management of emergency response in the clinic.

  • 2-day training designed for health care organizations with existing emergency plans or mandates requiring plans be developed (such as FQHCs); concludes with a tabletop exercise
  • Participants complete documents throughout the training that are specific to their organization and can be integrated into existing plans
  • This training addresses core planning aspects of the 2016 CMS Preparedness Rule

Day 1 covers emergency planning overview, emergency program management and ICS, communication, and essential services.

Day 2 covers staffing, resources, partnerships, and a tabletop exercise. Day 2 also includes a presentation from the regions Emergency Management Regional Advisory Coalition and TACHC. Americares Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Services presentation is also included.
