TACHC’s next Communications Series webcast is all about building relationships with the press and how to get their attention.  Successfully communicating with the media will be especially important as we head into Texas’s 86th legislative session. Getting stories placed is often about who you know, and health centers need to understand how to build relationships with news editors and reporters as part of any well rounded communications program. Join us as Estela Reyes Lopez, Media Relations and Public Information Officer at Centro De Salud Familiar La Fe, Inc. presents real case scenarios along with tried and true methods of building relationships with the media. This free webcast is the third in a series pertaining to media relations that will continue through June 2019.

The complimentary webcast will cover:

  • • Getting to know editors and journalists
  • • Using all “touchpoints” to build relationships
  • • How to organize your media contacts
  • • Letting media know what your resources are
  • • Learning how to “pitch” an article/press release
  • • Building your media list to include other entities
