Requirements for health IT security refer to industry standards, which are regularly evolving. If a breach of patient data does occur, centers must be ready to assess and mitigate the harm from that breach effectively.
As the TACHC HCCN Members test their health IT systems and centerwide policies and procedures to ensure the highest security and breach mitigation protocols are in place, we welcome Anne Kimbol from HITRUST to present compliance and performance improvement in this area. For the second part of this two part series, we will assign homework on the topic we learned about in Part 1 and then present not only the de-identified homework results, so you can see how you compare to your peers, but also recommendations from TACHC’s legal and IT staff for how to address any opportunities for performance improvement that the homework reveals.
All health centers are welcome to register; TACHC HCCN Members will have their costs covered.
