Ms. Carson provides in-house counsel and compliance recommendations at TACHC. Additionally, she fields myriad technical questions and drafts uniform and template legal documents, including contracts, policies and procedures, for the community health center members of TACHC. She is the author of recent revisions and additions to TACHC's Compliance and Performance Improvement (CPI) Manual and regularly conducts CPI trainings for community health center Boards of Directors, executives and staff, as well as for Primary Care Association staff from across the country. With her six-year appointment to the Operations Oversight, Compliance and Ethics Committee of TACHC's MSSP accountable care organization, Ms. Carson has been instrumental in developing TACHC's multi-faceted approach to value based care. Ms. Carson was raised in Galveston, Texas. She is a graduate of Princeton University and the UCLA School of Law Program in Public Interest Law and Policy. Licensed to practice law, first in California, now in Texas, her experience includes work on corporate and public interest matters for entities such as the former Manhattan law firm of Coudert Brothers, Legal Services of Northern California, the United States District Court of the Central District of California, the Los Angeles Superior Court, and the Office of Texas Senator Judith Zaffirini. Ms. Carson joined TACHC in 2006.
