Mary serves as the Policy and Research Coordinator for TACHC. Her primary duties include monitoring federal, state, and local governments’ health care policy issues impacting Texans and tracking and summarizing state and federal legislative bills and regulations. Before joining TACHC, Mary worked with various members of the Florida Legislature and the Executive Office of the Governor. She also worked as a law clerk for the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs in D.C., where she assisted counsel for the Health subcommittee on legislative issues pertaining to healthcare for veterans, prepared materials for committee hearings, and investigated pending VA benefit and health claims. Most recently, Mary served as a Field Director for a Texas state representative race. Mary graduated from Florida State University in 2012 with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Media/Communication Studies. She received her Doctor of Jurisprudence along with a Graduate Diploma of Comparative Law from the Paul M. Hebert LSU Law Center in 2015 and is currently licensed to practice law in the state of Florida and the District of Columbia.
