As TACHC’s Paralegal, Alfredo assists the Associate General Counsel and Compliance Officer in the development and implementation of internal legal and compliance systems for the Association and its affiliates.  Alfredo’s duties include written correspondence, legal and compliance trainings presentation and interaction with TACHC membership, as well as being a key drafter and editor of template legal documents for TACHC members. 

Born in Alice, Texas, Alfredo was raised and educated in Houston, Texas.  He received a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Texas at Austin, and a paralegal certificate from the University of Texas at Austin Center for Professional Education.  Alfredo came to TACHC from the Texas State Pharmacy Board (TSBP) legal division where he was a Legal Assistant III for 3 years.  Prior to state agency experience with TSBP, Alfredo worked for 13 years as office administrator and legal assistant with the law office of Granger and Mueller, P.C., and as an executive assistant and office manager for Steve Bresnen and Associates.  Before his professional experience in the law, and while he completed his undergraduate degree, Alfredo worked with the Austin Habitat for Humanity RE-Store as a materials donation coordinator for the local housing affiliate, and he remains very active with local non-profits and volunteer organizations in Austin.
