Aniela Z.G. Brown joined TACHC in November 2019 as a Clinical Intern. In this role, she provides training, guidance and coordination for a collaborative project between TACHC and the American Cancer Society (ACS) focused on increasing Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination rates in support of the ACS HPV - Cancer Free Texas initiative. A Philadelphia native, Aniela brings over 12 years of experience in program development and coordination, relationship building, community engagement, training and capacity building. She has served in both AmeriCorps (Jumpstart) and the U.S. Peace Corps (Zambia 2011-13), and has supported and encouraged aspiring healthcare professionals as staff with the National Health Corps-Philadelphia and the Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego Medical Academy. Aniela graduated with her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Rochester, New York in Political Science and African/African-American Studies; and has her Master’s Degree in Social Work with a focus on Community Development and Policy from Temple University, Pennsylvania.
