Mr. Gdula assists the Director of Legal Research and Affairs to provide in-house counsel as well as advice to TACHC member health centers. Additionally, he drafts and updates template legal documents, including contracts and sample policies and procedures, for the community health center members of TACHC and fields a wide variety of legal questions. He is responsible for updates to TACHC's Optimizing Comprehensive Clinical Care (OC³) Compliance and Performance Improvement (CPI) Manual, as well as designing and implementing information and training sessions for TACHC members and staff. A native Austinite, Mr. Gdula graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and earned a Juris Doctor from Baylor Law School. Prior to joining TACHC, he spent more than nine years at the Texas Medical Association where he worked on a variety of issues, including public health, mental health, medical records, nonprofit law, and corporate law in his role as Assistant General Counsel. He also served as the teaching assistant for a Master-level course at the University of Texas School of Public Health. Mr. Gdula joined TACHC in January 2020.
