As TACHC’s Accounting Director, Javier is responsible for day to day accounting functions for TACHC and its affiliates, ensuring cash and accounts are properly managed and provide accurate, timely financial information via monthly financial statements to the Director of Finance and Human Resources and Executive Director. Additionally, Javier compiles historical financial data in order to report to Federal, State and private funding sources and in support of the association’s annual audit.
Javier comes to TACHC with over 30 years of experience in accounting and finance roles with significant responsibility, including CIT Bank, Guaranty Bank, and Dell.
Valadez earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at El Paso and is a Certified Public Accountant.Born in Mexico, relocating to the United States at the age of 13, Valadez arrived in Austin in 1999 from El Paso. Ever since the age of 12, Javier has been an avid weightlifter and fitness enthusiast, having competed in 3 bodybuilding competitions in recent years, and completing a half-marathon at the tender age of 51.
